A warm welcome to Whitley Park Primary and Nursery School website, we hope that you will find it informative and interesting and that it provides you with a flavour of what is on offer to children when they join us.
Our school motto is ‘Aspire, Believe, Achieve’ and we are committed to ensuring that all children succeed and do well.
Today the children in Reception were inspired by their trip to The Market Garden at Rushall Farm. They weeded and cleared 3 planters in the courtyard area at school. They planted carrot, leek, lettuce, broccoli and pumpkin seeds and tomato, pepper and onion plants. We are hoping that in a few weeks we will see seedlings and the rewards of our efforts!
Our Reception children had a wonderful time visiting Rushall Farm and Ella's Kitchen Market Garden this week. We watched and learned about the different farm animals in the fields as we travelled by trailer in the countryside. The weather was beautiful and children loved their picnic lunch by the barn and and having a run around in the field. They explored the Market Garden where children planted seeds, learned about nature and dug for worms! A great time was had by all and many children fell asleep on the coach ride back to school! Must have been that countryside air!
